St. Vincents Primary School, East Kilbride
The following pictures are from St. Vincent’s Primary School in East Kilbride. This project started on March 2008 and is still in progress. The overall plan includes a big vegetable garden an orchard and a wild flower meadow including a living willow structure. The Kids have so far been involved in planning the layout of the Orchard and growing plants for the vegetable garden from seed using propagators in the classroom. They have made a marvellous job of preparing and seeding the wild flower borders at the entrance to the vegetable garden and building / setting up the cane wig-wams for the runner beans and climbing peas.
The children have now planted out the first crop of Peas (Kelvindon Wonder).
I will upload more pictures as the garden progresses...
